Sustainably Sweet

We all know that plastic if polluting our earth. Here at Halo we want to be able do our bit in reducing our carbon footprint as our promise is that our product is safe for you and the environment and we wanted to make that message all the more sweeter by changing our packaging to sugarcane.

Sugarcane takes in carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, it needs this to grow. Every kg of sugar plastic captures and stores approximately 2kg of CO2 from the atmosphere.

The difference between sugarcane and most other plastic is that other plastic is made from non-renewable petrochemicals which release carbon in to the atmosphere which adds to climate change.

We are so proud to be able to say that we use 100% Sugarcane in our bottles and even better they are made right here in New Zealand which reduces our carbon footprint even further and of course another promise we have made is to support New Zealand businesses at every step in the making of Halo and this includes all of our packaging. You can be sure that when you purchase our product you are helping to reduce your carbon footprint and support several New Zealand businesses at the same time.

We will slowly be changing all our bottles over to sugarcane bottles as new stock arrives.
